This research doesn't surprise me in my understanding of The Holy Bible and the other Books of the Bible that were excluded by scholars ( Which I have read years ago ) that were left out . I always have had doubt about the Noah's Ark story, and how it was outlined and delivered in the Hebrew Txt / Holy Bible , even as a child growing up attending Sunday School I felt something was missing, that something was was that I now understand that there were events that occured prior to the so called time of Noah ( BC ) in the Mesopotamia Era that there was a flood of some type ... not necessarily Rain ( The Black Sea ( saltwater spilling over into freshwater....not Rain for 40 days and 40 nights ) on land and submerging everything and everybody in its pathway, this I now understand was before the Noah's Ark version of The Holy Bible "Genesis" that occurred many many of years later based on the txt of that time line. So it only leads one to comprehend, that those Christian and other Religious scholars took this story and
I was looking at a documentary and movie on Amazon Prime entitled " Mysteries of Noah and the Flood " and the movie Noah's Ark 2014 ; 1hr 32 min. ( David Threlfall , Joanne Whalley, Ashley Walters), which has led me to also watching Debunking the (7) Seven Myths that Deny the Historicity of Genesis, Creation , and Noah's Flood . This opened the door to me pursuing this and finding this information cited here from your txt on the (The Influence of Gilgamesh on the Bible ) , and the interpretation it cites that may have given the rise to falsely injecting an older story of the flood .... of Mesopotamia and creating the more elaborate biblical version in Genesis 1-11 of the Holy Bible.
This is why we must read and do our own research, in any and all things especially with religion , none of us were here and we are taking for granted those before us got it all right in a txt that was and has been handed down generationally , and through many legacies and languages of many people and the cultural differences and interpretations of these people.... placing their felling and emotions as well as their personal beliefs . You must seek out and find and determine what your God is for you .... as an Individual.
