‘Unreadable’ commonly means ‘so confusing, obscure or boring that one is minded to stop reading’. The history of Bible seems to indicate incontrovertibly that it is readable in a high degree, even fascinating. If attention lapses it is because detail can sometimes seem rather overwhelming. The lack of absolute consistency doesn’t destroy - or even much reduce - the interest in reading.
I think another problem is hinted at: not readability but trustworthiness as a guide to life. There are problems here beyond fractures
