First problem is that there is no consensus within this broad listing of views - for one view to be correct it requires that multiple other views to be incorrect. Second problem is that this is a list of views - perhaps a tease of what is in the forthcoming book which hopefully will also include a response looking at such things as flaws in seeking some sort of a parallel, any sort of a parallel, between an account in the OT and events in wider history, and then assuming that there is a relationship between the account and the event in wider history
