First I’ll say that I enjoyed reading this article, it was rather well thought out. With that out of the way, it continues to amaze me that people don’t see what is staring them in the face, not just this author, who seems to be seeking and seeing more than most, but with humanity in general.
What do we go to and reckon with to have any kind of certain answers and true knowledge? Logic! What is “The One True God” that Moshe’s Torah spoke of in a time and in a language where they didn’t use the word “Logic” but called it YHWH? That’s correct class, Moshe’s Torah said that God was and is the true source of true knowledge (Logic), which is also why the Greek translation of the Torah (The Septuagint) said that God is “Logos” and it’s why even the Greek of John 1 in the Christian New Testament, where the KJV poorly translates that God is “the word”, says that God is “Logos” (Logic).
God is Logic, specifically the formless/incorporeal “Substance of Logic” that all forms of Logic such as math or yes even science must be coherent with in order to be objectively “logical”. The one who who makes x=x, by any of our arbitrary names like “Logic”, “God”, “Hashem/The Name” or even “The One Who Makes X=X” this one is the rational substance that has made (and makes) the universe be the universe be the universe, and who makes all of us be all of us.
If we want to find the common ancestor that we and all other concepts can trace our roots back to we MUST “reckon faithfully” (reason properly, objectively and honestly) with Logic, Avinu Malkeinu.
Once you know the beginning of the chain (Logic) and the end (you) you can again keep reckoning with Logic, properly, honestly and objectively (aka “in good faith”) and find whichever other intermediate ancestors you may desire to know more about.
Those who fail to reckon properly and who lose track of the objective truth because of subjective biases will hide the truth from themselves.
Do not to be led astray by your own heart but to reason with The One True God, the one who said “I will be what I will be” (Logic) for answers and true knowledge of good and evil.
