Arguing or debating the occurrence of a flood is symbiotic of a baseline question of God’s existence. My fundamentalist family and friends declare, “God can do anything.” Thus, no scientific correlation is needed. And while I discern mouths full of milk, I pick at the meat from the bone as I myself believe death can be overcome or reversed. There is no logical conclusion that a flood was possible in the grand scale as told. There is no logical answer how God can exist or a being was revived from death on the cross. ‘By faith are you saved by God’s grace.’ Faith is not belief and absent of proof/evidence/logic. Can a person refuse to believe in a flood and yet have faith it happened? Have a glass of milk and believe unsupported evidence walking blindly into a judgement to be told, “away from me, I never knew you.” Or, have some meat and admit that God and a flood may exist without significant proof and discover faith. Jewish Jews feverishly study and hold knowledge of the question and refuse the answer. Christians scream an embellished answer often clueless of the question. Science rejects both while proving time can stand still at the speed of light or exist beyond death on the edge of a black hole. I once argued the philosophical answer to an IQ test, that you only know, when you know you know nothing at all. I’ve enjoyed the bantering on this post, seeing all we don’t know. Was there a flood?
