One thing you miss is that of tsunamis that in the historical records in India talk of tsunamis that crossed continents and even went over the top of the largest mountain ranges in the world. We today are experimenting and learning how to literally make it rain and with a sufficient understanding and a high enough level of technology I see no reason why state of near continuous rain could not be created that would cover all continents and flooding would be inevitable. Tsunami plus continuous rain equals biblical flood stories and i say stories because they exist in almost every culture around the world and most talk about two floods. I would not take the bible version as being a true account but as a bringing together of a shared memory from our forgotten past.. Its also likely it happened further back in history than most are willing to consider.
