This past month , I made another journey across the continent (mostly) this time, stopping in Vernal, UT after following the high road 191 down from Flaming Gorge, WY south. I stopped in Jensen at the Dinosaur National Monument Quarry. There is a fold there in the Uintah Range where the Green River now runs. As you enter the site from the south on 149, the road passes under a striking series of a dozen or more consecutive sandhill clumps approximately 100-200 ft in height, obviously left by the enormous volumes of water racing to get off the continent. Stop yawning long enough to consider this; that ALL the topsoil for thousands and thousands of square miles west of the Rockies and south of the Canadian border states has been taken away - somewhere! It gets worse as you go south into Northern Mexico. All the western ranges orient N-S as you journey along. What NOBODY mentions, however - because they have ALREADY made up their minds - is that the ranges have "deep ditches" along ONLY their eastern sides. And WHY is that? Because the land INCLINES downward as you drive west from the Rockies' spine. This is WHY the highways are designed with gutters, to move the run-off from the crown of the road towards a culvert to keep the shoulders of the road from washing away. The miles-high water did the same thing, making its own "gutters" along the mountainsides as the weeks and months of run-off continued. Hey, go and see it for yourself! I didn't hire a construction company to come in and excavate the Southwestern United States. It's been sitting there for a LONG time! The sand piles are EVERYWHERE! Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, northern Mexico. Evidence is evidence! You people STILL think the Colorado River MADE the Grand Canyon? Well, I passed by the the source of that River. WHY isn't there a GORGE - leaving the source? Because the Colorado River is a TINY stream that FOUND the Great Ditch made by the Flood, THAT'S WHY! You CAN'T see the forest for the trees, as they say. Back away into the sky and look down, now! A PATTERN begins to emerge. Why isn't it the same, east of the Rockies? Because there was NO OBSTRUCTION to make a flume for the waters to eat away at. The Flood just drained down like water in a bathtub.
