The Conservative Machzor for Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur has 4 passages where Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are mentioned in reverse order. I contacted the Head of the Conservative movement in New York and he referred to Leviticus 26:42 where the reverse order is found.
I am looking for some commentary on WHY and what would be the reason for the reverse order AND mentioning of the land as if all else fails , I have a covenant with THE LAND.
I also found a reference where an explanation might be found.
The reference is Saadiah Gaon Apud Aben Ezram in Loc Pesikta &alii and when I looked that up it referenced you at the University of Arizona.
What does Saadiah Gaon say about the reverse order?
