But Paul is ambiguous at best and you effectively need to interpret him with the Gospels in mind. I suppose that is why scholars who have actually written books on this topic focus on the Gospels and the hypothetical sources apparently underlying them. When you can thoroughly defend those sources, you might finally have something worthwhile to contribute to this discussion.
